Mukesh Singh deputed to Manipur

Jammu Tawi, May 22: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the inter-cadre deputation of Director General of Police (DGP) Ladakh and AGMUT cadre IPS officer Mukesh Singh.

According to the details available, the ACC approved the inter-cadre deputation of 1996-batch AGMUT cadre IPS officer Mukesh Singh to the Manipur cadre for a period of 3 years.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs for deputation of Mukesh Singh has been cleared in relaxation of the conditions of inter-cadre deputation. The ACC has also waived the mandatory “cooling off” period after central deputation as a special case in public interest. Sources said Mukesh Singh is likely to be posted as DGP Manipur.

Singh has held several important positions including ADG ITBP, ADG Jammu, IG ITBP, IG Jammu, IG Crime J&K, IG NIA and SSP in various districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
