J&K: CRPF Jawan Found Dead in Shopian Camp

Srinagar, May 6: A jawan of the Central Reserve Police Force was found dead inside a camp in Shopian, officials said on Wednesday.

Head Constable Surinder Singh reportedly fell unconscious late Tuesday night at the Zainapora CRPF camp. He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital in Zainapora, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated proceedings to ascertain the cause of death.

Further investigation is underway, officials added.
