Jammu Tawi: Amid escalating tensions, the Jammu & Kashmir District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (DGPC) led by Balvinder Singh, RTI Activist and Vice President of DGPC Jammu held a press conference at Gurdwara Chand Nagar, Jammu, demanding stern action against AAP MLA from Doda, Mehraj Malik. The DGPC pressed charges over Malik’s repeated derogatory remarks aimed at the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Doda, Harvinder Singh—a controversy that has captured widespread attention.

In the conference, DGPC representatives criticized Malik for his continued use of abusive language, characterizing his behavior as unbecoming of a public representative. Videos circulating online show Malik allegedly directing offensive remarks not only toward DC Harvinder Singh but also his family, sparking public outrage.

The DGPC warned that such unruly conduct threatens the sanctity of administrative decorum and urged the government to proceed with legal penalties. “Respect for civil institutions cannot be compromised,” stated one of their members, emphasizing the need for accountability.

The political fallout is intensifying, with multiple agencies reviewing the matter. Calls for Malik’s censure come as protest demonstrations continue in Bhaderwah and other parts of Doda.
