BJP Announces Major Reshuffle; Ram Madhav, Tariq Mansoor Get Key Posts

New Delhi, Aug 17: The BJP on Monday announced a major organisational reshuffle, appointing 13 national vice presidents, eight general secretaries and a new team of national secretaries as part of a revamp of its organisational structure.

BJP national president Nitin Nabin approved the appointments, which take effect immediately, according to a statement issued by the party’s Central Office.

The newly appointed national vice presidents include former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia, former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat, Ram Madhav, Baijayant Jay Panda, D Purandeshwari, Rekha Verma, Varshaben Narendrabhai Doshi, Bharti Pravin Pawar, Manpreet Singh Badal, Lal Singh Arya, M Nagaraja, Tariq Mansoor and Madhuchandra Kar.

B L Santhosh has been retained as National General Secretary (Organisation), while Shivprakash and Saudan Singh have been appointed National Joint General Secretaries (Organisation).

Vinod Tawde, Sunil Bansal, Biplab Kumar Deb, Smriti Irani, Satish Poonia, Gajendra Patel, Harish Dwivedi and Sanjay Bhatia have been appointed national general secretaries.

The party also named 16 national secretaries, including Sandeep Pathak, Phangnon Konyak, K Surendran, Anil Antony and Kavita Patidar.

Piyush Goyal has been appointed national treasurer, with Rajesh Mangal as joint treasurer.

Tarun Chugh will serve as Central Office In-charge, while Sambit Patra has been appointed North-East Coordinator. Vishnu Datt Sharma will oversee all party cells.

The BJP also announced new presidents for its various morchas, including Dr Hemang Joshi for Yuva Morcha and Roop Kumari Choudhary for Mahila Morcha.

The party further reconstituted its media and digital teams, appointing Anil Baluni as Media Convenor and Deepak Mhaskey as Social Media Convenor.

The reshuffle is aimed at strengthening the BJP’s organisational machinery, coordination and outreach across states and key regions. (Agencies)
