A PRIMARY school has been nominated for the Community Champion of the Year award for “shaping the lives of countless children and strengthening our community every day”.
Nominator Jalie Collingwood praised St Clement’s School for ensuring that every child felt valued, respected and empowered to achieve their full potential.
She said its “inclusive and nurturing” approach had transformed the experience of her neurodivergent daughter, while also providing support to her as a parent.
“The understanding, patience and encouragement shown by the staff have had a lasting impact on my daughter’s confidence, happiness and love of learning,” Miss Collingwood said.
She also commended staff for supporting families through good times and difficult periods, while always displaying kindness and professionalism.
“They build confidence, inspire resilience, foster friendships and create a genuine sense of belonging that extends beyond the school gates,” she added.
