The discontinued Galaxy Z TriFold is coming back this Friday

by · Android Police

Three months. That's the entire lifespan of Samsung's most ambitious device yet.

The device I'm talking about is the $2,900 Galaxy Z Trifold, which was launched in the US in January 2026, and discontinued in March 2026.

There's nothing majorly wrong with the device per se. The device was discontinued because of its high cost of production, which made loading up inventory unsustainable.

If you weren't able to grab the device during its initial availability, you've been out of luck. The device has since been out of stock in the US, but that's set to change soon.

Even though the device has officially been discontinued, Samsung is, presumably for the final time, replenishing stock. In an email sent to Android Police, the South Korean tech giant indicated that the phone will be available to purchase online and in stores starting Friday, April 10th.

Online buyers can check out www.samsung.com/us/smartphones/galaxy-z-trifold/, which already has a countdown for the device's availability. Those looking to buy the device from a Samsung Experience Store will have to visit one of the following seven stores:

When news about the device's discontinuation first came out, via Bloomberg, Samsung suggested that it would discontinue selling the device in the US once it clears remaining inventory. This is likely the tech giant's attempt at clearing out said inventory.

If you're looking to secure a Galaxy Z Trifold, make sure you act fast. The online sale will start on Friday at 9am ET. It will likely be a digital stampede with the device expected to sell out soon.
