Ibrahim Tanko credits Moses Armah’s faith for Medeama’s league triumph

Medeama head coach Ibrahim Tanko has credited the faith shown in him by club president Moses Armah Parker as the driving force behind their 2025-2026 Ghana Premier League success.

The Mauve and Yellow sealed only the second league title in their history with an emphatic 5-2 victory over Heart of Lions at the TNA Stadium, capping a campaign defined by consistency and attacking authority.

For Tanko, the triumph represents a significant personal milestone, marking his first major silverware since transitioning into coaching.

“I think it’s very historic [for me to win the league title]. I think that the trust that the President [Moses Armah] had in me is something that gave me motivation and I thank him very much and thank the supporters who rallied behind us.”

Tanko’s acknowledgment reflects a broader sense of unity within the club, where management backing and fan support combined to fuel a title-winning run.

The achievement also secures Medeama a place in next season’s CAF Champions League, offering the Tarkwa-based side a renewed platform to test themselves against the continent’s elite.
