Nurudeen Abdulai urges Dunfermline to build on Thistle draw after winning run
· GhanaSoccernetNurudeen Abdulai says Dunfermline Athletic must build on their recent improvement after the side turned a difficult spell into a positive run in the Scottish Championship.
Abdulai scored his first goal for the club in the Pars’ 2-2 draw against Partick Thistle, a result that halted a run of three consecutive defeats in late February.
Reflecting on that match, the Ghanaian defender described the point against the second-placed side as a significant moment for the team.
“I think it’s a good day for the team because we were very low three games ago,” Abdulai said.
“We got a home draw against a big team, which is second in the league. Things have changed, and we need to go on and make sure we get the three points every time we play.”
The former Medeama SC defender stressed that the team must approach every match with urgency as they aim to climb the table.
Dunfermline have since built on that performance by winning two consecutive matches and currently sit fourth in the Scottish Championship standings.
