I think the players gave everything needed in football - Hearts of Oak coach Didi Dramani
· GhanaSoccernetHearts of Oak began their 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign with a night of frustration at the Accra Sports Stadium, where they were held to a goalless draw by newly promoted Hohoe United.
Head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani had every reason to expect a winning start after a strong pre-season, and his side showed flashes of quality. Midfielder Abdul Karim controlled much of the play in the first half, while forward Frank Abora Duku kept the visitors’ defenders on edge with his movement and pace.
Yet despite having more of the ball and pushing Hohoe United back for long spells, Hearts lacked the final touch in the box. Their missed opportunities left fans restless, but Dramani preferred to highlight the positives at full time.
"I think they gave everything needed in football. The energy, the effort, the performance was absolutely good," he said.
"We found the right spaces, we did the right things," he added.
