If I leave Kotoko today, I will leave with pride, says 'under-pressure' Karim Zito
· GhanaSoccernetAsante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito says he would walk away from the club with pride should he be sacked.
The former Black Satellites head trainer's future at the club has been left in doubt due to his inconsistent performance of the club.
The Reds were held to a goalless draw against relegation-threatened side Berekum Chelsea in the Matchday 18 games at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
Speaking to the media after Kotoko’s game, Zito pointed to silverware already won and the club’s continued competitiveness across all competitions.
“If I leave Kotoko today, I will leave with pride. In less than a year, we have won trophies, including the Toyota Cup," he said.
"We remain in the FA Cup, and in the league, the title is still open, with any team in the top five capable of winning it,” Zito added.
Karim Zito will hope to guide his side back to winning ways when they travel to play defending champions, Bibiani GoldStars, at DUN's Park in the Matchday 19 games on Sunday.
