Black Stars striker Brandon Thomas-Asante has vowed to give out his best performance to ensure the team make it to the next round of the 2026 World Cup.

Ghana will feature at the 23rd edition of the Mundial, which will be hosted across the USA, Canada and Mexico this summer.

The Black Stars will come up against Panama, England, and Croatia in Group L.

After back-to-back group phase elimination in 2014 and 2022 in Brazil and Qatar, respectively, Thomas-Asante has insisted he is determined to give out his best as the team aims to qualify for the next round since 2010 in South Africa.

"So, I want to do everything to give us the best chance to progress in the tournament," he told Ghana FA media.

"We don't just want to go there and turn up for no reason. We want to be successful. So, we're preparing for that. Yeah, he's a very good guy, you know.

"All of us, we're listening to how he wants us to play and understanding his ideas. So it's been a blessing," the Coventry City striker added.

The Black Stars are currently in camp in Cardiff, preparing for their upcoming friendly game against Wales on June 2 at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Before the game, Carlos Queiroz will announce his final 26-man squad for the tournament this summer.

Ghana will open their Group L campaign against Panama on June 17 at BMO Field before facing England at Gillette Stadium on June 23. The four-time African champions will conclude their group-stage fixtures against Croatia on June 27.
