2026 World Cup: Assemble the best squad to compete – Laryea Kingston tells Black Stars coach Otto Addo

The four-time African champions will compete at the Mundial this summer in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
With the team set to face Panama, England and Croatia in Group L, Kingston believes Otto Addo must assemble the best players for the tournament.
"The World Cup is a top-level competition; so as a country, we need all our best players to compete well,” Kingston told the Daily Graphic.
The Black Stars will open their campaign against Panama on June 17, followed by England on June 23, and conclude with Croatia on June 27.
In preparation, Ghana will regroup in March for friendlies against Austria and Germany, with a final warm-up match against Mexico scheduled for May.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed that the team will be based at Bryant University in the United States throughout the tournament.
After a back-to-back group phase elimination in 2014 and 2022 in Brazil and Qatar, respectively, the Black Stars are aiming to leave a positive mark in North America.
