The senior national team departed Cardiff on Wednesday, June 3, after several weeks of training and conditioning work. The squad, together with technical staff and officials, is now based in Providence, Rhode Island, where they will continue their build-up to the tournament.
Head coach Carlos Queiroz travelled with his final 26-man squad, which was confirmed on Monday, June 1, following the conclusion of the team’s European training camp.

Ghana wrapped up a key phase of their preparations on Tuesday, June 2, with a friendly at Cardiff City Stadium. Caleb Yirenkyi gave the Black Stars the lead in the second half, but defensive lapses late in the game allowed Lewis Koumas to equalise for the hosts.
The result brought an end to the Cardiff camp, with attention now shifting fully to tactical refinement, team chemistry and final preparations ahead of the global showpiece.
The Black Stars are expected to play another warm-up match against Jamaica on June 10 as part of their final tune-up schedule.
Ghana, who will be making their fifth World Cup appearance, have been drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England and Croatia. They begin their campaign on June 17 against Panama, before facing England on June 23 and Croatia on June 27.
The four-time African champions will be aiming to progress beyond the group stage for the first time since their memorable quarter-final run at the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
