'Fantastic' Antoine Semenyo fits right with Manchester City - Bernardo Silva

Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva has lauded Antoine Semenyo’s fast start following his arrival at the Etihad Stadium.

The Ghana international, who completed a five-and-a-half-year move from AFC Bournemouth to Pep Guardiola’s side, has wasted little time making an impact, finding the net in consecutive appearances.

Semenyo opened his City account in the FA Cup victory over Exeter FC before striking again in Tuesday night’s 2–0 win away to Newcastle United in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-finals at St James’ Park.

Speaking after the match, Silva highlighted both the forward’s quality and his personality.

"He looks not just a very good player but also a very good guy, which fits right in with the team. He is a fantastic guy who wants to help us. Hopefully, he can keep going," Silva said after the game at the St. James' Park.

Semenyo has also claimed the Man of the Match award in each of his first two outings for the club, underlining his immediate influence.

The 26-year-old will now be hoping to earn his first Premier League start for City when they face rivals Manchester United this weekend.
