Ghana Premier League: We didn’t deserve to lose against Vision FC – Nations FC coach Frimpong Manso
· GhanaSoccernetNations FC coach Stephen Frimpong Manso insists his outfit deserved at a least a point in their Ghana Premier League defeat to Vision FC.
The Tema-based outfit secured a hard-fought victory over the Abrankese-based outfit on Saturday to climb out of the relegation zone.
Setsofia Aqetey's first half strike was enough for the home team to snatch maximum points in the week 16 of the Premier League.
The teenage midfielder opened his Vision FC account in spectacular fashion as his cool finish at the death of the first half sealed a much-needed victory over Nations FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex.
The Tema-based side also ended their seven-match winless run to move into 12th place in the league standings with 18 points, one behind the visitors.
Meanwhile, Frimpong Manso's team's disappointment on the road continues as they are yet to secure an away victory this term.
Speaking after the game, Manso expressed his displeasure about the defeat, insisting the side deserved at a least a point if not the three maximum points, considering their performance throughout the match.
“We didn’t deserve to lose this game. We did a lot to at least secure a draw if not the three points. We created the chances but couldn’t convert them. We were punished for our wastefulness in front of goal. Truth to be told, we shouldn’t have lose this game” he said.
Nations FC sit in 10th place in the league table and will look to bounce back when they host Karela United in their next match.
