Heart of Lions midfielder Etse Dogli shared his satisfaction on Friday afternoon after the team’s draw against Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League.

In the Week 26 fixture staged at the Kpando Sports Stadium, both teams had their moments, but neither side could find the back of the net and had to settle for a point apiece at full-time.

Speaking in his post-match interview, Etse Dogli stressed on the positives from the match, arguing that drawing to earn a point was better than losing the game to Hearts of Oak.

Unhappy with his team’s current position in the league table, the midfielder vowed to step up his performance to help the side.

“We thank God for the draw game, although it’s not a win, but we thank God. So far as we didn’t lose, we thank God. The position we are in the league table is not good. I’m trying to lift my game up game after game, and so I thank God for my performance today,” Dogli said after the game.

In a match where the midfielder put up a top performance, Dogli was adjudged Man of the Match at the end of the encounter.
