Alhaji Mahama Banda explains Young Apostles plan to attend Dreams FC game without playing
· GhanaSoccernetAlhaji Mahama Banda has opened up on Young Apostles’ decision to show up for their league match against Dreams FC but refuse to kick a ball.
He was reiterating the club's concerns after Young Apostles CEO Gerald Domfeh announced that the club will boycott the remainder of their Ghana Premier League fixtures due to what he described as poor officiating.
The decision follows a 2-2 draw against Hohoe United in Matchday 19 at the Wenchi Sports Stadium, a result that left the club frustrated with the standard of refereeing this season.
"Yesterday Monday a day after last Sunday's poor officiating in Wenchi we held a meeting in the morning the management concluded that the game against Dreams on Sunday in Accra. We shall come to Accra alright, take part in the pre match meeting dress the players up for the field they won't kick the ball they will just be on the field," he told Peace FM as monitored by Ghanasoccernet.com
Young Apostles are currently 15th on the league table with 22 points and will face Dreams FC at the Tuba Astro Turf in Matchday 20.
