GFA President Kurt Okraku announces Metro Mass Transit partnership for football supporters

Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku has announced a new partnership with Metro Mass Transit (MTT) aimed at supporting the movement of supporters to and from match venues across the country.

Speaking about the initiative, Okraku disclosed that MTT will provide transportation for fans attending games in the women's league, Division One League, Ghana Premier League, as well as matches involving the national teams.

"MTT will support the movement of supporters to and from the venues of the women's division and the premier league, including the national teams," Okraku said.

The partnership is expected to ease the burden on fans who often struggle with transportation to match venues, particularly for away games. It forms part of the GFA's broader efforts to improve fan engagement and boost stadium attendance across all levels of Ghanaian football.

While specific details of the agreement, including which routes will be covered and the cost to supporters, are yet to be fully disclosed, the announcement has been welcomed by football stakeholders as a positive step toward making the game more accessible to the Ghanaian public.
