Rising Ghanaian forward Korblah Junior Kedzie has named Portugal icon Cristiano Ronaldo and France superstar Kylian Mbappé as his biggest inspirations as he continues his impressive rise with Port City.

Kedzie has enjoyed a standout campaign in the Division One League, scoring 15 goals with three matches to spare, playing a decisive role in Port City’s successful promotion to the Ghana Premier League.

The in-form attacker sealed another memorable moment at the weekend, finding the net as his outfit triumphed over WAFA in the coronation match.

Speaking after the match, the forward revealed the influence both global stars have had on his development and ambition.

“My grandfather is Cristiano Ronaldo and my mentor is Kylian Mbappé, so I look up to both of them,” he said.

Kedzie’s rapid progress has also earned him recognition at national level, with a recent call-up to the Black Galaxies squad for friendly matches against Heart of Lions and Aduana FC. He further impressed by scoring a brace against Lions, catching the attention of observers and national team scouts in attendance.

With his confidence soaring, the young striker is now focused on finishing the season strongly while keeping one eye on a potential move abroad.

“My ambition is to play in one of the top leagues in Europe. If I get the opportunity to move abroad, I’ll take it,” he added.
