GPL: Karim Zito targets more wins after crucial triumph over Eleven Wonders

The experienced tactician insists that his team’s goal to emerge as champions at the end of the 2025/26 season remains unchanged, 15 matches into the season.
Speaking in a post-match interview after Asante Kotoko brushed aside Eleven Wonders with a 2-0 triumph, Karim Zito shared his delight, insisting that the result is vital for his team’s title push.
“It’s not beyond our ability to beat Eleven Wonders. My happiness lies in the step we have made in the chase for the league title, so I’m very happy. If we can win today 2-0, it’s a plus for us,” Karim Zito said.
The Kotoko coach added, “We need to win, especially our home matches. If we want to win the league, then definitely we have to win our home matches.”
The win over Eleven Wonders has taken Asante Kotoko to third in the Ghana Premier League table. The Reds are on 27 points, just one behind league leaders Aduana FC. Up next for the Kumasi-based side, they will take on Bechem United during Week 16.
