Former Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani has voiced strong optimism about Ghana’s build-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, highlighting what he describes as a positive and promising atmosphere within the Black Stars camp.

The senior national team are currently based in the United States as they continue preparations for the tournament, where they have been drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England and Croatia.

Speaking to Asempa FM in an interview, Dramani commended the team spirit and backed head coach Carlos Queiroz to deliver a well-organised and disciplined side capable of competing at the highest level.

"The energy in the Black Stars squad for the World Cup is marvellous, and Carlos Queiroz will do his best to organise the team, stay compact defensively, and avoid conceding goals in the tournament," Dramani said.

The Black Stars have since moved their training camp to D.C. United’s facilities as part of their final phase of preparations.

Ghana will begin their World Cup campaign against Panama on June 17 at BMO Field, before facing England on June 23 at Gillette Stadium. Their final Group L match comes against Croatia on June 27.

Under Queiroz, the four-time African champions will be aiming to reach the knockout stages for the first time since 2010, having suffered group-stage exits in both 2014 and 2022.
