World Cup 2026: Black Stars keen on putting on a good show for Ghana and Africa – Jordan Ayew

Ayew is leading the Black Stars to this year’s World Cup, after starring in the qualifiers as the top scorer and top assist provider.
Speaking ahead of a friendly against Wales on Tuesday, June 2, the versatile striker opened up on training so far, adding that the Black Stars will surprise people at the World Cup.
“We have a lot of new players, and we just want to improve. We just want to go there and put on a show and represent Africa and Ghana the best we can. And I am confident that with the manager's ideas and the boys' commitment, I am sure that we will surprise people,” Ayew said.
The match between Ghana and Wales is scheduled to kick off at 6:45 pm on Tuesday.
For a match that will be the first test for Carlos Queiroz since his appointment as Black Stars head coach, a lot of eyes will be watching from both home and abroad.
