Bernardo Silva praises 'very good guy' Antoine Semenyo

Manchester City's new forward, Antoine Semenyo, has received glowing praise from a key senior figure, with midfielder Bernardo Silva lauding the Ghanaian not only for his instant impact on the pitch but also for his character and seamless integration into the team.

Bernardo's comments came after Semenyo delivered another match-winning performance, scoring in Manchester City's 2-0 away victory over Newcastle United in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final on Tuesday. The goal was Semenyo's second in two games since his transfer from Bournemouth.

The Portuguese playmaker, a pillar of Pep Guardiola's squad, emphasised how perfectly the new signing fits within the club's culture. "He looks not just a very good player but also a very good guy, which fits right in with the team," Bernardo said. "He is a fantastic guy who wants to help us. Hopefully, he can keep going."

Semenyo's start to life at the Etihad has been nothing short of spectacular. In just two appearances, the 26-year-old has scored two goals, provided one assist, and remarkably won the Man of the Match award in both games. This electric form began with his debut in the FA Cup, where he scored and assisted in a 10-1 rout of Exeter City.
