Bibiani Gold Stars' deputy communications and administrative manager Joseph Oti Manu has issued a confident warning to Accra Hearts of Oak ahead of Sunday's blockbuster encounter, pointing to his side's formidable home record as reason for optimism.

Speaking exclusively to Citi Sports, Oti Manu did not hold back in assessing Gold Stars' dominance at Dun's Park.

"We are the best club in the Premier League in home matches," he declared.

The defending champions will host third-placed Hearts of Oak on Sunday in a clash with significant title implications. Gold Stars currently sit second in the standings, just three points behind leaders Medeama, and know that victory would strengthen their push for a second consecutive league crown.

Oti Manu believes the team is perfectly positioned after securing a crucial 2-1 away win over Kpando Heart of Lions in their previous outing.

"It was very crucial. It was very difficult to win an away match", he said. "We are the best club in the Premier League in home matches, but we should do well if we want to win the league."

The administrator also credited Swiss head coach Fritz Schmid for the team's mental readiness since his arrival two months ago.

"Fritz Schmid has done refresher training courses with the players since he arrived. So psychologically, the team was up to the task to win that match. We are really ready to welcome Hearts of Oak on Sunday."

With three points separating the top three sides, Sunday's clash at Dun's Park could prove decisive in the title race. And if Oti Manu's words are any indication, Gold Stars believe their home fortress will hold.
