Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has described his start to life at Manchester City as a fairytale he is enjoying.

The Black Stars forward made his eighth goal contribution following his January transfer after scoring and delivering an assist in the 3-0 victory over Fulham.

Semenyo opened the scoring early in the game after poaching home in the 24th minute before setting up Nico O'reilly moments later to double City's advantage. Erling Haaland sealed the win just before half time with a dominant display from the host in the first 45 minutes.

“[There’s] no secrets! It’s just being part of a great team, a great environment, the coach has been great and they’ve made it easy for me to settle. It’s all a fairytale right now," said the Ghanaian after the game.

“[It was] very important [to win]. That was the message from when the game was done against Liverpool. Just backing up what we did on the weekend, it was a tough graft and we got the three points, today we did the same thing. I’m happy.

“He [O’Reilly] has got that in the locker. He’s a very technical player. When I slid him in I knew he was going to score.”

Semenyo joined City in the winter transfer window from AFC Bournemouth, signing a long-term deal with the Manchester club.

The 26-year-old also made history on Wednesday night by becoming the first Ghanaian to score 13 goals in a season in the English Premier League.
