Newly appointed Black Stars head coach has stepped up preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a working tour across Europe, aimed at monitoring Ghanaian players and strengthening ties within the squad.

The Portuguese tactician, who was officially unveiled in Accra last week, began his duties locally by observing the Black Galaxies (the home-based national team) before departing for Europe last Sunday to continue his assessment of players ahead of the global tournament.

As part of his itinerary, Queiroz has already held key discussions with captain and midfield powerhouse , two influential figures expected to play leading roles in Ghana’s World Cup campaign.

The experienced coach is expected to meet several other senior players and emerging talents, while also attending matches involving Ghanaian internationals across various European leagues.

The tour forms a crucial part of Queiroz’s strategy to communicate his football philosophy, evaluate player form, and outline his tactical blueprint ahead of the tournament.

He is being supported by members of his technical team, who are assisting in scouting and engagement duties.

Ghana will be making their fifth appearance at the FIFA World Cup, set to be hosted across the United States of America, Canada, and Mexico in June.

The Black Stars have been drawn in a challenging Group L alongside England, Croatia, and Panama, setting up what promises to be a highly competitive group stage.
