Black Queens midfielder Jennifer Cudjoe has expressed delight after starring for Ghana at the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Cudjoe, one of Ghana's best players at the tournament, helped the Black Queens finish on the podium after beating South Africa in the third-and-fourth place game last Friday.

The US-based midfielder converted her penalty as the West Africans triumphed over the former champions to claim bronze.

"I’m overwhelmed with joy, gratitude and happiness. This summer has been the perfect picture that I had imagined a year ago!! Everything In between was what I expected!!" added Cudjoe.

She continued: "Coming into My first WAFCON with my country and going home with bronze is the best feeling in my career!! I’ve wanted so much for my country and to be able to have this is special to me.

"To my Family, mentors, friends and loved ones who have been my constant support through out this journey, thank you for everything.

"To my fans: I see you and hear you every time I step on and off the field!! Your unwavering support has never gone unnoticed! Thank you for always believing in me.

"Lastly, to the people of Ghana, this is for you. I hope this sets up a tone for everyone to keep believing in women sports and support the next generation of talent that will come through the national team."
