New champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies have officially been confirmed as Ghana’s representatives for the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU B qualifiers.

The regional qualifying tournament will be hosted in Burkina Faso from August 23 to September 5, 2026, bringing together league-winning clubs from the West African Football Union Zone B to compete for qualification to the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Ampem Darkoa earned the opportunity after another impressive domestic campaign, defeating Hasaacas Ladies in the final of the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League.

The Nana Mma side will head into the competition hoping to repeat their memorable 2023 campaign, when they won the WAFU B title and secured qualification to the CAF Women’s Champions League proper.

Ampem Darkoa have established themselves as one of Ghana’s leading women’s clubs in recent years through consistent domestic success and growing continental experience.

They are expected to be among the favourites for the regional title once again as they chase another appearance on the continental stage.
