GPL: Didi Dramani praises Benjamin Asare after Man of the Match performance in Dreams FC draw

Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani was full of praise for Benjamin Asare on Friday after the goalkeeper put up a top performance to help the team secure a point from their goalless draw with Dreams FC in the Ghana Premier League.

Asare, who recently made a full recovery from injury, started in the Week 19 fixture for the Phobians and lasted the entire duration of the stalemate.

In the match played at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, the goalkeeper pulled off some amazing saves to keep Hearts of Oak in the game while winning the Man of the Match award.

Speaking on the performance of the goalkeeper in his post-match interview, Didi Dramani lauded Benjamin Asare and his teammates, arguing that he did his job like he was expected.

“He is part of the team, and it’s his responsibility when it comes to these situations. Anytime the back line is unable to deal with some decisions, he must be there to deal with the situation,” Didi Dramani said.

The goalless draw with Dreams FC means Benjamin Asare has now kept back-to-back clean sheets in the first two matches of the second round of the league campaign.
