Ghana have suffered a setback ahead of their pre-World Cup preparations after Mohammed Kudus was ruled out of the international friendly against Germany in March.

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Kudus will be sidelined until April due to a quad tendon injury, ruling him out of the friendly scheduled for Monday, March 30, 2026, in Stuttgart. The injury was sustained earlier this month, with manager Thomas Frank confirming the attacker is expected to return only after the March international break.

Kudus’ absence is a blow for the Black Stars, with the Germany fixture seen as a key test ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which begins in June. Ghana have been drawn in Group L alongside England, Croatia, and Panama.

Ghana will also be without defender Mohammed Salisu, who has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

The absence of two key players will force adjustments as Ghana fine-tune preparations for a demanding World Cup group, with the technical team now expected to explore alternative options ahead of the tournament.
