Former Ghana Football Association Communications Director, Ibrahim Sannie Daara, believes the Black Queens have what it takes to qualify for the next round of the ongoing 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations.

Ghana opened their campaign with a 2-0 defeat against South Africa, who are the defending champions, on Monday.

Kim Lars and his side will take on Mali in their second Group C game today, July 11, before wrapping up their group games against Tanzania on Monday.

Despite sitting at the bottom with no points, Sannie Daara remains confident in the team's chances of qualifying for the next round of the competition.

"I believe the Black Queens will qualify for the next round of the competition," he told Asempa FM.

Sannie Daara, who is now a Senior Media Officer at CAF, also implored government to invest in women's football.

"I will urge the government to help invest in wormne football by partnering with the Ghana Football Association (GFA)."

The much-anticipated game will be staged at the Stade Municipal de Berkane. Kick off for the game is scheduled at 16:00 GMT.
