Ghana goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi believes the Black Stars' unity and positive atmosphere within the squad can help the team enjoy a successful campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The St. Gallen shot-stopper said the players have built a strong bond during their preparations and are determined to carry that spirit into the tournament.

"I think it's really a good group. We're all together. We fight for each other. You can see there's really positive vibes each and every time. This is what we like and this is what we want to keep up," Ati-Zigi told GFA Media.

"We want to take this positive energy into the games. We hope that we can have a very good World Cup."

The Black Stars have spent the past two weeks preparing for the tournament, beginning with a training camp in Cardiff before travelling to Washington, where they continued their build-up under coach Carlos Queiroz.

Queiroz took charge just two months before the tournament after Otto Addo was dismissed following a run of poor results. Since his appointment, the Portuguese coach has focused on building team chemistry and preparing the squad for the challenges ahead.

Ghana have been drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England and Croatia. The Black Stars open their World Cup campaign against Panama on June 17 in Toronto before facing England on June 23 in Boston. They will conclude the group stage against Croatia on June 27 in Philadelphia as they seek to reach the knockout stage for the first time since their quarterfinal run in 2010.
