Ghana star Antoine Semenyo on target as Manchester City edge Chelsea to secure FA Cup title

Ghana international Antoine Semenyo emerged as the hero for Manchester City as they claimed a narrow victory over Chelsea to secure the 2025/26 English FA Cup title.

The Black Stars attacker, who joined the Sky Blues in the winter window started and played full throttle of the match as his outfit cruised to a 1-0 victory over the Blues at the Wembley Stadium to annex the title.

The first half of the match ended in a pulsating goalless draw, with both teams struggling to the find the back of the net in the highly competitive match on Saturday afternoon.

However, the former Bournemouth star rose to the occasion in the second half, firing home the crucial match-winner in the 72^nd-minute to secure the title for his outfit.

Since joining Manchester City in January, the enterprising Ghana forward has secured two titles, having previously won the Carabao Cup title.

The 25-year-old enjoyed a sensational first half of the season with Bournemouth, before securing a high-profile move to the Etihad Stadium during the winter transfer window.

His outstanding performance did not go unnoticed, earning a place in the Premier League Player of the Season shortlists.
