Lucasfilm and Disney+'s Star Wars: Visions Volume 3 kicked off the third and final day of Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025. Previously, we learned that the nine short films would come from returning studios Kamikaze Douga ("The Duel"), Kinema Citrus Co. ("The Village Bride), Production I.G. ("The Ninth Jedi"), and Studio Trigger ("The Twins, 'The Elder"). In addition, five new anime studios had also come aboard – Anima (Sand Land), David Production (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure), Polygon Pictures (Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man; Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Project Studio Q (Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0: Thrice Upon A Time), and WIT Studio (Vinland Saga; Attack On Titan). With the animated anthology series set to premiere on October 29th, attendees were treated to looks at what viewers can expect (more on that below). But that wasn't all… Shortly after announcing the release date for Volume 3, EP James Waugh announced that Star Wars: Visions Presents—"The Ninth Jedi" would be available on Disney+ in 2026. Writer and director Kenji Kamiyama took to the stage to thank the audience for being supportive and enthusiastic about the adventures of Kara and Juro in "The Ninth Jedi" and the upcoming "Child of Hope" (again, more on that below).
