Troops stop motorcycle snatching, rescue victim in Plateau

According to the post, the incident happened around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday along Jwak village, when troops responded to a distress call about suspected criminals trying to snatch a motorcycle from a rider.
The victim, identified as Shuaibu Ayuba, was reportedly attacked by the suspects before the arrival of the troops.
Security sources said the quick response of the soldiers forced the attackers to abandon their plan and flee into nearby bushes.
“The swift intervention by the troops disrupted the attack and the suspects escaped,” the sources said.
The victim was rescued and immediately taken to a medical centre in Mangu for treatment.
Sources added that efforts were ongoing to track down the fleeing suspects, while security patrols had been increased in the area to prevent further attacks.
