UCL: Steven Gerrard names team that deserves to play Arsenal in final

Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard, has named Paris Saint-Germain as the club that deserved to face Arsenal in the Champions League final.

The former England midfielder stated this immediately after PSG knocked Bayern Munich out of the Champions League last-4 stage.

On Wednesday night, PSG drew 1-1 against Vincent Kompany’s side at the Allianz Arena to qualify for the final of the Champions League, thanks to a 6-5 aggregate victory.

“Over the two legs, PSG deserved to go through to the final,” Gerrard told TNT Sports.

“The first leg was a shootout, but they got their heads in front, and tonight was a defensive masterclass.

“Bayern Munich played their part in the tie, but the best team has gone through. PSG had the edge over them.”
