EPL table: Arsenal thrash Fulham, go 6pts clear of Man City

by · Daily Post

Arsenal have opened a six-point gap at the top of the Premier League table, with a commanding 3-0 win over Fulham on Saturday evening.

The Gunners had returned to the summit last weekend with a narrow 1-0 victory over Newcastle.

But back at the Emirates today, Mikel Arteta’s men turned on the style, as they sent a strong message to City in the run-in.

Viktor Gyokeres opened the scoring within the opening nine minutes, tapping home Bukayo Saka’s low cross.

Saka doubled Arsenal’s lead with a low drive after being set up by Gyokeres, who then added a third goal.

City will be looking to claw back some points when they travel to Everton on Monday night.
