Osun 2026: ‘Cheap blackmail’ – Bashir Ahmad tackles Davido over comment on APC
by Matthew Atungwu · Daily PostFormer presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad, has described as a cheap blackmail the comment made by afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, on the All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of August 15 governorship election in Osun state.
Davido had taken to his X handle and said that anybody supporting APC in Osun state was an enemy of progress, adding that lessons would be learnt this weekend.

Reacting through a post on X, Ahmad said, “This is just cheap blackmail. People have every right to vote for whoever or whatever party they choose.
“After all, your uncle has been running the government for four years now. Surely, that is enough time for the good people of Osun to make their judgment.”
DAILY POST recalls that the two have been launching an online war against each other in recent times.
Ahmad had expressed confidence that the singer would return to X to lament the outcome of the August 15 governorship election.
In return, David lambasted Ahmad that he was a little boy who got into politics, challenging him to point out any any achievement he made as a presidential aide for eight years.
