EPL: Maresca names two players Chelsea missed during 3-1 defeat to Leeds United
by Don Silas · Daily PostChelsea boss, Enzo Maresca has named two players his team missed during their Premier League 3-1 defeat to Leeds United on Wednesday night.
Maresca watched as three goals from Ao Tanaka, Jaka Bijol, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin ensured Leeds United defeated the Blues.
Speaking at his post-match interview after the game at Elland Road, Maresca insisted that Chelsea missed midfielder Moises Caicedo and playmaker Cole Palmer against Leeds.
Recall that Caicedo is currently serving a three-match ban after receiving a red card against Arsenal a few days ago.
Palmer, on his part, is yet to gain full match fitness as he came off the bench to feature against Leeds after several weeks out of action for the Blues due to injury.
“I think, again, we missed Moi tonight; we are going to miss Moi in the next game,” Maresca said.
“He is an important player. In the same way, even if the results were different, but in the same way we missed Cole, in the same way we missed players that for us are important.
“Moi is a player that for us is an important player for any team in the world, because he is top.”
