AFCON: What Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle said about Morocco’s Brahim Diaz

Super Eagles coach, Eric Chelle has praised Morocco winger Brahim Diaz ahead of the AFCON semi-final tie on Wednesday night.

Chelle described the Real Madrid star as a ‘good player’ for outstanding displays for the Atlas Lions so far in the tournament.

Diaz is currently the leading top scorer with five goals.

The 26-year-old has scored a goal in each of the five matches played in the tournament

Diaz is on the verge of making history against the Super Eagles of Nigeria tonight.

He will become the first player ever to score in six consecutive AFCON matches should he find the back of the net against Nigeria.

Speaking at his pre-match interview, Chelle said (via CAFOnline): “Morocco are a strong team with qualities and weaknesses.

“Brahim Díaz is a good player, and the Moroccan team as a whole is very good.”
