He said the outcome demonstrated that the people’s will must prevail when citizens remain committed to their civic responsibilities and make their voices heard.

He explained that citizens’ voices can only be heard when they exercise their civic rights during elections.

He urged stakeholders to continue to uphold the principles of credible, peaceful and transparent elections.

According to him, “I congratulate my friend, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke, Governor of Osun State and candidate of the Accord Party, on his victory in the 15 August 2026 Osun State Governorship Election.

“As a leader of the opposition and a committed democrat, I commend the people of Osun State for exercising their democratic rights and reaffirming the power of the people’s mandate.

“This victory is a reminder that when citizens remain committed to their civic responsibilities and make their voices heard, the people’s will must prevail.

“I also commend the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the conduct of the election and encourage all stakeholders to continue to uphold the principles of credible, peaceful and transparent elections.”
