by · Daily Post

Uruguay legend, Luis Suarez, has predicted the winner of the World Cup quarterfinal clash between England and Norway.

He said England will emerge victorious against Norway in their quarter-final match of the 2026 tournament on Saturday.

England, having topped Group L with two victories and a draw, is poised to confront Norway as they aim for their fourth semi-final appearance.

They secured a 3-2 win against co-hosts Mexico in the round of 16.

Norway progressed to the knockout stage of the 2026 tournament by finishing second in Group I. They caused a significant upset by defeating Brazil 2-1 in their last match.

Speaking on his TikTok account, Suarez expressed his belief that Thomas Tuchel’s team will halt Norway’s remarkable journey in the current quadrennial tournament.

He said via HITC, “England vs Norway: a very exciting match, it will be closely contested, but I believe England will advance.”

If the Three Lions eliminate Norway from the 2026 tournament, they will face either Argentina or Switzerland in the semi-finals.

Uruguay great Luis Suarez has predicted England will triumph over Norway in their 2026  quarter-final clash on Saturday (July 11).
