AFCON: Moses Simon names two best players in Africa ahead Algeria clash
by John Owen Nwachukwu · Daily PostParis FC and Nigeria’s footballer Moses Simon has dismissed speculations of conflict among the Super Eagles after the incident involving Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen.
Simon talked about the issue at the pre-match press conference on Friday.
The winger said that teamwork and unity are still the main values in the Super Eagles team.
“But first it’s a team work. We are all part of the same team, and as you can see, we are united. Before they score, some other players give them the ball to score. So, of course, I feel happy for them.
“For me, I would say yes, of course, we play for them. Since they are two of Africa’s top players, the last one won it, and of course, we are all working together as a team, including the coach, with a common goal.”
Simon also said that the team does not focus on individual performances.
“There’s no time to decide who is the best or who isn’t. The most important thing is that the teams are the best. We all are the best. We just want to win,” he added.
