Super Eagles: Osayi-Samuel pulls out of Russia friendly
by Mike Oyebola · Daily PostBright Osayi-Samuel has become the latest established Super Eagles player to withdraw from Nigeria’s friendly against Russia.
Osayi-Samuel joins captain Wilfred Ndidi, who earlier pulled out of the encounter scheduled for Tuesday, October 6.
FC Basel defender Akpe Victory has also been ruled out of the fixture due to injury.
Ndidi and Victory have since been replaced by John Oromewo and Vince Osuji, respectively.

The Super Eagles arrived Moscow for the international friendly on Friday.
Nigeria and Russia played out a 1-1 draw in their first-ever meeting at senior international level in June 2025.
