The Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential running mate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, on Monday expressed happiness working together with the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Kwankwaso explained that he and Obi are comparing notes because they are both happy with what they are doing.

Appearing on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Kwankwaso said: “I am so happy that today I am working together with His Excellency Peter Obi, and we are comparing notes. We are working together. We are happy with what we are doing and I’m happy to say that our party, the NDC are working as a team and we are happy with what we are doing.”

Kwankwaso, a former presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, had defected to the NDC recently following Obi’s move from the Labour Party, LP, into the current fold.

Following their defection, Obi emerged as the NDC’s presidential candidate, after which, he picked the former Kano State governor as his running mate.
