Edo Security Corps arrest three over alleged murder, secret burial of girl
by Enahoro Iyemefokhai · Daily PostOperatives of the Edo State Security Corps, ESSC, have arrested three suspects for alleged murder and secret burial of one Hannah, an indigene of Kebbi State.
DAILY POST reports that the Deputy Corps Commander in Charge of Operations, Richard Balogun, disclosed this while parading the suspects in Benin City.
Balogun alleged that the boyfriend of the deceased, identified as Daddy Alli, an indigene of Taraba State, conspired with other suspects to murder and secretly dispose of her corpse.
He said the suspects were arrested following an intelligence report by officers of the Ovia North East Local Government Area operations and tactical teams.
According to him, the suspects transported the deceased’s body to an uncompleted building, where they buried her in an apparent attempt to conceal the death and obstruct any investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
He said the suspects have been handed over to the Ekiadolo Police division for further investigation to unravel the circumstances that led to the death of Hannah.
Balogun added that a suspect, identified as Dada is currently at large and officers of the corps are on his trail to apprehend him.
He said the suspects confessed to the crime.
