2027: I can withdraw my support for Peter Obi any time – Isaac Fayose

by · Daily Post

Isaac Fayose, younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has reacted to the backlash that followed a viral video showing him praying with Seyi Tinubu, saying he could withdraw his support for the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, if he chooses.

Fayose, who said this on his Facebook page while responding to critics, noted that his past support for Obi should not be taken for granted, insisting that he is free to back any candidate.

The social commentator also declared his admiration for President Bola Tinubu and his son, Seyi Tinubu.

“I can withdraw my support for Peter Obi. Do you people know how much I spent on Peter Obi’s 2023 campaign? I met Seyi Tinubu and people started complaining. Has Peter Obi ever appreciated me? If I want, I can start campaigning for President Tinubu. I’m a Yoruba man, and I love President Tinubu and his son,” Fayose said.

This came a few days after he insisted that meeting with Seyi Tinubu and other supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC, did not mean he had abandoned Peter Obi.
