2027 presidency: I will concede – Peter Obi gives condition
by Seun Opejobi · Daily PostThe Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has given a condition under which he would concede the 2027 presidential election if he loses.
Obi said he would concede the 2027 presidential election if the process is free, fair and credible.
The former Anambra State governor made this known during an interview with Arise Television aired on Thursday.
Asked if he would concede the 2027 election, Obi said: “If the election is free, fair, and credible, I will because it’s an election. It’s the people that would say who they want to serve them, and I will respect the will of the people because that’s democracy.”

The NDC presidential candidate also insisted that he won the 2023 presidential election, stressing that the country’s electoral umpire can attest to his claim.
“As long as I live, I would maintain that I won the 2023 presidential election because those who conducted it know the records, they know why there was a glitch, and what happened, but I have left it to the past,” he added.
