Transfer: Falconets striker seals move to Portuguese club Benfica

Akekoromowei put pen to paper on a two-year contract with the option of another two years.
The 18-year-old last played for Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, outfit Bayelsa Queens.
The youngster was named Most Valuable Player In the 2024/25 season after scoring 13 goals in 19 matches for Nasarawa Amazons..
On the international scene, Akekoromowei was part of the Falconets side that participated in the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.
She has also been capped at full international level by Nigeria.
