Osun Guber: ‘I’m contesting against a party with 34 governors’ – Gov Adeleke

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has expressed confidence in his chances of winning the governorship election despite facing an opposition party backed by 34 governors.

Adeleke stated this in a post shared on his official social media page.

The governor described himself as a “bulldozer”, saying he was not worried about the number of governors supporting the opposition party.

“I am not worried that I am contesting against a party that has 34 governors, I am a bulldozer,” Adeleke wrote.

He added that the governors supporting the opposition candidate would not be able to vote in Osun State.

“If they like they should bring all their governors, they are all my friends. They are not the ones to come and vote here, they can only support their party,” he stated.

Adeleke also expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu over his intervention after the recent freezing of the Osun State Government’s account by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

“I appreciate Mr. President’s call during the recent EFCC freeze order on the state government’s account,” he said.

The governor added that he had received an assurance from Tinubu regarding the conduct of the election.

“I was promised a free and fair election by President Tinubu,” Adeleke added.
